1. Running - To move one's body takes off weight from one's mind. Focus less on emotions and more on bodily stress (healthy stress...lol)
2. Long hot shower - To refresh one's body is to refresh one's mind. Also gives time to think without having to worry about wasting time / keep one warm despite cold (?) thoughts. 3. Sing out loud - Especially songs that one can relate to. 4. Radio Exercise - See #1 5. Study - There is nothing wrong with a better mark in school! 6. Do logic puzzles - Helps one to get away from negative emotions by the introduction of logical thoughts....also because it's a) fun, and b) helpful for the LSAT? 7. Write/Draw - Accomplish something while serving as a distraction...best accompanied by listening to music, perhaps. 8. Stay by oneself / away from friends in the close proximity - One can only find solution to one's problems by oneself anyway, the only result of talking to someone about one's problems is more frustration and "blah-ness"... to self AND others. This is probably strange, because it seems like most self-help sites and whatnot say that one should talk to someone one loves. I really don't agree in my own case... 9. Write down thoughts without looking back at them. This channels out negative thoughts without bothering anyone including self... 10. AFTER all these steps, act normal again and focus once again on constructive events =) |
