Yes, this is what I was whipping last night for
![]() ![]() I took the recipe for the cheesecake itself from this site (Japanese) but with the addition of green tea powder (as well as the red bean paste spread on top). Though it tastes pretty good, I regret 2 things: A) I wish I added more green tea powder because this isn't green/bitter enough, and B) I wish I made a graham crust underneath the cake itself....as the general texture was quite soft (maybe I added too little flour, a failure due to estimation )cough, anyway, to translate briefly, one just need to use a mixer to blend together 200g cream cheese, 200cc milk, 3 tbsp each of flour and sugar, one large egg, and in my case 2 tbsp of green tea powder and bake @ 355 degrees for 45 minutes (after the oven's pre-heated)I like the fact that the recipe is fool-proof so even if you haven't made any dessert type thing in ages (like me) you're guaranteed to succeed...though next time I think I'll attempt a more cakey recipe instead of cheesy ![]() Now my biggest problem is what to do with the entire cake: my parents refuse to touch any of it after one bite, saying it's too cheesy (I'm not surprised) and I don't want to eat the entire thing either ... ...*sigh* |

![]() As pathetic as this looks, it was a good way to deal with leftover spring roll wrappers and bananas ![]() No recipe used, really...just wrapped bananas in spring roll wrappers and fried. Though in my case I was stupid enough to fry something else in the oil prior to these, and the "something else" fell apart in the hot oil and burnt...hence the black stuff on the bananas ![]() Here's a video I found that shows you how to wrap the bananas...though it's not really necessary for those who know how to make spring rolls ![]() http://video.about.com/thaifood/fried-banana.htm |
