While I worked on this piece the song I listened to most was from the 12K OST...a song that I've never noticed before but now found to be very nice

Media: Watercolour (opaque), pencil lines, photoshop for colour adjustment + "watercolour" effect (how ironic)
Time spent: around 4 to 5 hours? lol
Birds inspired by Hisho no Tori, which I read in the middle of the painting process here...

Eden of the East ~continued~

Ok so the last entry was written 10 minutes after I finished watching the series....and it's really late at night (oh wait so's this entry)....
Either way, thinking back, maybe I should've given it more credit...the plot was really good actually, many funny and exciting parts...and the entire johnny/naked thing was really good -w-
Also the characters were also more interesting than I gave them credit for...mameshiba (the little dog) was so damn cute

But, as one might say, all's well that ends well....and the ending left me feeling uneasy and bleh, hence the entire thing goes down in my mind....
Therefore, in order to make something good in ppl's memories, the ending has to be really good!!

Eden of the East

So....after a long time of not watching any new anime series I managed to finish one today while sewing: Eden of the East (東のエデン).
This was the title that I was mostly attracted to back in the spring we were going through the list of new animes...anyway, my thoughts of it are below (on a scale of 5):

Plot:

Characters:

Graphics:

Music:

Overall: 3.5 out of 5

Plot: I would've given it a 4 or 5 star by episode 5 or 6 or something, in the middle of the story...it had a kind of excitement and suspense going on and was really fun to watch...but the ending kind of just left me there going "HUH???" I know there's gonna be 2 movies (sequels) coming up soon, but as a complete piece of work the way it ended was rushed and doesn't give a feeling of satisfaction...and a lot of stuff were left unexplained = =

Characters: (Please don't hit me....personal taste only!)
OMFG Morimi Saki. That's the kind of character I cannot stand....her face was kind of cute and she said one or two good lines, but besides that....wth woman...to me she seemed like a mere mascot, just as her status was in their college circle. Many of the side characters could've shined, but the story was so rushed they were introduced without given much exploitation... the entire member of "Eden of the East" were kind of left hanging there half way...By the last episode I was so stressed with the character settings even the good music and graphics didn't seem to be able to heal me

(My favourite character was Mr."panties"

he had some good noticeable traits and good involvement in the plot too)

Graphics: As expected from Production IG it was really good....the background, etc were beautiful as always.....hmmm? Wait a second. The last anime that I watched was....Toshokan Sensou....and before that it was Seirei no Moribito...... ...(unless I forgot something in between..)
...... ........

.....maybe I should try watching something that's not IG lol

On a side note, I'm not very satisfied with the character design..~~.IF I didn't watch Honey and Clover I would've thought it was good, but all of them look too freaking similar to Honey&Clover characters = =~~ and the girls are way too loli to look like actual 22 year olds. Mikuru (21) looks like she's 13 (seriously) (No I'm not saying this because I look older than my age!!

Music: I really liked the music....usually I don't take note of the background music...but in this case it was really really good (personal opinion) both in terms of individual tracks but also the timing they put the songs in....unlike some animes or dramas that put music on when it's not really necessary...
In fact the music was so good that I looked up who the composer was...and on wiki it says:
